What Should I Expect from a Pedicure?
Here are some tips on how to maximize your salon pedicure experience.
1) You should always schedule your pedicure in advance.
2) You should wear open-toed shoes, such as thongs or sandals.
3) Be sure to bring nail polish (unless you plan to buy some from the salon) and something to read while your pedicurist is at work.
4) Allow a full hour for your pedicure, though they rarely take longer than a half-hour. You don't want to rush it, and you also want to ensure that your nails are completely dry by the time you leave.
5) Dress comfortably, but also keep in mind that you will be sitting in a very open area with your feet up in the air - this can lead to some embarassing situations if you've got a short skirt on!
6) Don't forget to tip your pedicurist. It's proper etiquette to tip 15 to 20 percent.
7) If you want to know more specifics about the actual pedicure, check out the following website: http://www.essortment.com/all/pedicuremanicur_rcgf.htm. It outlines the procedure and provides a few more tips for first-time pedicure customers!
