The Owners and Staff here at Madison Avenue Salons hope that this message finds you well. We would like to thank you first and foremost for your love, prayers, and support. Those 3 elements are what has kept this family strong through this very turbulent and heartbreaking time in our lives. We would also like to thank you for standing with us while we do our very best to accommodate for changes in our daily schedules. It is of the utmost importance to us that we continue to serve our family and friends as we have done since our Salon opened its doors 44 years ago. As our Salon welcomes third generation stylist and family member Mikayla Brotz. Preparations to transition ownership to Mark Jr. & Michele were being made. Although our hearts are heavy and our thoughts are with Mark Jr. his wife and beautiful girls. Our goal is to seamlessly continue to provide you with the highest level of care. However, losing Mark Jr. will continue to affect each one of us. So please understand that our emotions may get the better of us at unexpected times. Our relationship with you goes beyond Client/Stylist. So please know that seeing you brings us comfort. We look forward to servicing all your hair, skin, and nail needs. This correspondence is sent with love and our deepest gratitude.

Shelly is new to our team and is eager to add a fresh start to her career guided by all the talent and knowledge at Madison Avenue Hair Salon.
She has been a hairstylist for 25+ years and has attended numerous classes in hair cutting and coloring techniques.

Difiaba Color
New Color at Madison Avenue Salons!!
We are excited to announce that we now carry @difiaba color at both of our salon locations!
Each tube of color contains ultrafine pigments to guarantee full coverage, vibrancy, and shade longevity, along with plant based oils (clove, lavender, rose and coconut) for hair strength, shine, and softness. All color applications also have gotu kola, a beneficial ingredient that soothes the scalp, hydrates skin, and can help stimulate hair growth. Welcome Maddie!
Join us in welcoming our new hairstylist, Maddie! As a recent graduate of Norwich Technical High School, she has had a well-rounded introduction to various color and product brands, and enjoys highlighting and foiling techniques. In addition to hairstyling, she will be providing manicure, pedicure, and facial waxing services. Maddie will be working at our Old Saybrook location, where she is looking forward to meeting our clientele and offering a great salon experience.
Mark Sr’s “Retirement”
After 42 plus years Mark Sr. is in the process of turning the family business over to his kid’s Mark Jr. and Michele. Mark Sr. will stay on with limited hours on the floor and in the office, and will gradually (2yrs) fully retire.
We are very excited for this transition as Mark Jr. and Michele have been working in the Salon for well over 20 years, and my granddaughter Mikayla is going to Cosmetology School this summer too join the Salon.
Please expect the same family atmosphere, and service from Madison Avenue Salon’s, thru this transition.
